The SAM SPLINT is very flexible and malleable until a curve or fold is placed anywhere across its longitudinal axis and it becomes rigid and suitable for splinting.
The SAM SPLINT is radiolucent, can be cleaned and even cut with a regular pair of scissors if necessary (cutting exposes the thin aluminum core, we recommend folding the edge on itself a couple of times or covering the edge with tape) Hold it in position with elastic wrap, gauze, tape or whatever material you have available.
For those of you who live Life on the Edge (and even those who don't) be sure to have your SAM SPLINT with you.

Useful for immobilizing adult upper extremity fractures or sprains. Also works well on adult ankles when used in pairs, and for upper and lower extremity injuries in children.
