Important Notice: Potential Canada Post Strike – May 22, 2025
Canada Post is facing a potential strike as early as May 22, 2025, due to stalled contract negotiations with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW). The current collective agreement expires on that date, and recent talks have been paused without significant progress.
If a strike occurs, mail and parcel deliveries—including those to P.O. Boxes—could be significantly delayed or halted. This would especially impact shipments that rely on Canada Post for final delivery, such as those addressed to P.O. Boxes and rural areas.
Our Recommendation:
To avoid possible delivery disruptions, we strongly advise customers not to use P.O. Box addresses for shipments at this time. Please provide a physical street address instead. This enables us to use alternative carriers like UPS or Purolator, which do not deliver to P.O. Boxes but can continue service during a postal interruption.
Taking this simple precaution will help ensure your orders arrive on time, even in the event of a strike.
